Greg Mathis - President Greg comes from a wide ranging background of Civil Engineering, Surveying and General Architecture. He has over 18 years of professional experience in design, construction, and project management. Greg began working in the Civil Engineering Field in 1993 and became experienced in land planning, subdivision design, commercial site design, preparation of improvement drawings, and construction engineering. In 1997, Greg was a founding partner in MRW Design Associates in order to provide the highest level of Design Build Services available. As MRW has evolved from a primarily Design Build firm into providing Full Architectural services across all project delivery methods Greg continues to direct and shape the future of this company. Greg has been the project manager and lead designer for a majority of the projects which MRW Design has completed. Greg has been involved in receiving government approvals for all the projects which MRW has completed, including Planning and Zoning, Engineering, and Building Department approvals before and during the commencement of a project. Jeff Mathis, NCARB - Architect Jeff began drafting and design in a professional environment as a high school student and continued working throughout the process or receiving his formal architectural education. His early experience was in the field of Civil Engineering where he completed civil construction drawings, participated in land master planning, infrastructure, site grading, and public road design. In the Fall of 1999 Jeff joined Greg at MRW Design Associates and, in the ensuing years, has progressed from basic design and drafting support into fulfilling all roles associated with being the principal architect at MRW. Jeff obtained his professional educational degree, a Master of Architecture, from the University of Nevada Las Vegas, School of Architecture, in the spring of 2007. Jeff ensures project continuity from concept to completion by providing complete project design, drafting and coordination. He works with key project players from site and building design to construction document production and through the required governmental approval processes and construction administration. Jeff currently holds active registration/licensure in the following states: Utah, Arizona and New Mexico. He is also NCARB Certified; this certification provides a clear path for registration/licensure in most states. Jim Brownell, PE - Mechanical Engineering Jim moved into the consulting engineering field from the telecommunications field after a long tenure with Mt. Bell of Denver Colorado. Jim has been involved in many large and successful building projects as a project engineer for Van Buren and Frank Associates in Southern Utah before joining MRW Design Associates in 2001. Jim continues to provide mechanical and plumbing designs for MRW projects utilizing current energy efficient and environmental conscious materials and methods.
